What is a Distribution Board?
A Distribution Board (DB) is an electrical enclosure that receives the main power supply and distributes it into multiple outgoing circuits. It provides safe and organized power distribution with the help of protection devices like MCB, RCCB, RCBO, and isolators.
Working of Distribution Board
The incoming electrical supply enters the Distribution Board through the main switch or isolator. The power is then distributed through busbars to different protection devices, which control and protect individual outgoing circuits connected to electrical loads.

Main Functions of Distribution Board
Power Distribution: A distribution board divides the incoming power supply into separate circuits for lighting, fans, sockets, air conditioners, and other electrical equipment.

Busbar: Distributes phase and neutral supply to multiple outgoing circuits.
Neutral & Earth Link: Ensures proper current return path and safe grounding.
